BCA's Gallery Learning programs encourage curiosity about art and life in the 21st century. We offer group exhibition tours, hands-on art-making activities, and interpretive programming for audiences of all ages, experience levels, and backgrounds.
Our on-site, interactive group experiences—linked to our rotating current exhibitions—feature trained educators leading inquiry-based tours and art-making activities. While stand-alone tours are available, most groups choose to pair a tour with an art-making activity, allowing participants to channel their gallery experiences into creative experimentation.
Please schedule your group visit two to six weeks in advance. To schedule a group activity with us, please read this overview of things to know to make the most of your visit.
Schedule a tour for your classroom. Visits begin with guided exploration and lively discussion around contemporary works of art. Programs conclude with hands-on art activities to inspire students to create their own artworks that explore exhibition themes, materials, and artistic processes. We encourage collaboration from teachers, in order to connect visual thinking strategies to your own classroom goals.
