In this incarnation of Matt Hagen, he plays classical guitar in a style that fuses bossa nova, classical, and music reminiscent of what may be found in spaghetti western films from the 1960s. Performing all original compositions primarily inspired by Latin rhythms and breezy waltzes, Hagen also sings equally sinister and beautiful ballads. 
 
As an eclectic Burlington, VT collaborator, Hagen is notably known for playing electric guitar in numerous bands such as The High Breaks, Purple (A tribute to Prince), Darkside of the Mountain, Matt Hagen’s Murder Ballads, bass guitar in Burning Monk, Savage Hen, Matthew Mercury, and also DJs both solo and with the vinyl spinning duo Local Dork.
