“Sonic Explorations” is a crossover concert showcasing New England’s musical diversity and the unique, unexpected cross-pollinations across genres. The performers include Bailey Paugh (Burlington, classical, trumpet), Ben Dexter (Burlington area, ambient, electronics), Patrick Sargent (southern Vermont, rock/R&B/country, guitar and vocals), Ida Mae Specker (southern Vermont, folk, fiddle and vocals), and Kristina Warren (Providence, new traditional, concertina & electronics).

 

Supported by a BCA Community Fund grant, the concert features a unique chained structure of solos, duos, and finally a full-group number in order to highlight the unpredictable yet sonorous interplays among all these musical styles.
