Artist Allison Ruarks celebrates the shift from winter to spring with her temporary installation, Pom Pom Pop-up!, a corridor of brightly colored yarn pom-poms. Created through both the artist’s vision and community participation, this installation will bring vibrancy to the North Avenue corridor while showcasing the power of public art to enrich shared spaces and foster a sense of belonging. Whether evoking the first blooms of spring, a flurry of snowflakes, or the interconnectedness of community, Pom Pom Pop-up invites conversation on how creativity can make our city more vibrant and connected.
This project is part of planBTV: New North End and was made possible through a partnership between the Burlington Department of Planning, Burlington City Arts, and Parks, Recreation & Waterfront, with funding provided by AARP.
