Myra Flynn in the Gallery
BCA Center

Myra Flynn partners with BCA to present a poignant exhibition of artwork at the BCA Center in Burlington, VT.

Passages: Identity, Memory, and Transformation features a diverse group of contemporary artists who embrace themes of journey and transformation in their art. This collection challenges viewers to consider the multifaceted aspects of self, as well as how race, culture, and history shape individual and collective identity.

As a songwriter and explorative journalist, Myra is the perfect voice to celebrate and introduce this exhibition.  Her lyrical storytelling explores a variety of topics including growing up biracial in rural Vermont, love found and love lost, motherhood, friendship, vulnerability, and remaining true to oneself (because why be glitter when you could be a diamond?)

Myra uses her incredible voice to empower, inspire, and even educate.  Her uncategorizable and unique blend of indie/soul/folk/R&B original songs combine soulful vocals with a lyrical delivery that doesn't let one get too comfortable. This intimate gathering at the BCA Center, centered amongst transformative works of art, is a limited seating event not to be missed.

Please note: this is a paid event. Tickets are $30 and are available at Seven Days.
