PREVIEW

Twyla Moves exquisitely explores legendary choreographer, Twyla Tharp, and her notoriously rigorous creative process, her trailblazing dances, her cinematic partnerships (Hair, Amadeus, Ragtime), her Broadway collaborations (Billy Joel, Frank Sinatra, David Byrne), and her profound work with international dance stars (Mikhail Baryshnikov, Misty Copeland, Herman Cornejo, and Maria Khoreva). Revisiting her most memorable pieces through archival footage, dances that move even those with no interest in dance, Twyla Moves documents Tharp’s quest to evolve as a person and a choreographer, whether creating via video conference during the coronavirus pandemic or back in the studio pushing the boundaries of what “can be.”
