Burlington City Arts’ award-winning arts education program at BCA Studios offers hands-on arts learning opportunities for artists of all ages and abilities. Our youth summer camp program is a perennial favorite, opening new worlds through creativity, learning, and play.
BCA is committed to keeping the arts accessible to all, and strongly encourages anyone who might benefit from a scholarship to apply!

YOUTH AND FAMILY CLASSES
From Friday family nights on the clay wheel to guided photo explorations of Burlington's historic South End, BCA's youth, teen, and family classes are designed to nurture lifelong passions. Students build confidence quickly with personalized instruction from experienced teaching artists.

ADULT CLASSES
Lifelong painters, burgeoning jewelers, and those merely inspired to make friends and try something new are all welcome at BCA. Our arts classes provide not only small-group instruction with a deep focus on individual style, expectations, and ability, but professional development opportunities as well. Many artists who have passed through our studios now run successful businesses, exhibit in galleries, and use our state-of-the-art facilities to continue their craft.

At BCA's award winning youth camps, students work closely with professional teaching artists for a full week of in-depth studio arts experience. Every camp includes high-quality art materials and a final celebration. Come for a half-day or pair a morning and afternoon camp together at BCA Studios to make a full-day experience. Camps at the BCA Center run for the full day.

2025 Summer Youth Artist Apprentice Program
Know a young arts-lover looking for a summer job? BCA and Juniper Creative Arts are excited to offer a four-week Artist Apprentice Program designed to immerse youth ages 16-23 in a hands-on residency that blends visual art, storytelling, and environmental education. Apprentices will be paid $19/hour as they work under the mentorship of Juniper Creative Arts to research the history of the Barge Canal and co-create a large-scale public mural on Pine Street. Please note that participants must have a Social Security Number and be able to submit a W-9 form to receive payment.
We’re looking for Burlington youth with a baseline of creative experience who are eager to expand their skills and explore new mediums, particularly mural making. The program runs from July 21 to August 14, with sessions taking place Tuesdays through Thursdays, 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM, at 405 Pine Street. However, the week of August 4 will be M-W instead of T-Th.
Spots are limited and are first-come, first-served, so email our Public Art and Grants Manager, Colin Storrs, at cstorrs@burlingtoncityarts.org to learn more and sign up today!
