Gary Hall is an internationally published architectural and fine art photographer. Initially trained as an Army Signal Corps photographer, he was an aerial and documentary photographer in Southeast Asia. After earning a degree in fine arts photography from Southern Illinois University, Gary returned to his native Vermont and was awarded two Vermont Arts Council grants to document urban renewal in the city of Burlington.
An affiliate member of the American Institute of Architects, his photography has garnered numerous design awards for member firms. He has photographed for the prestigious Relais & Chateaux group of small hotels and for the best selling book Adirondack Style published by Random House; this hard-back features over 150 of his images illustrating contemporary interpretations of the rustic style of architecture. He has made eco-tourism images in Tanzania, taking aerials for a helicopter safari outfit and in Costa rica promoting small quintessential hideawars. He has recently photogrpahced Three Bees at Harbour Island, Bahamas - a tropical destination ofr celebrity jet-setters.
Gary's black and white landscape prints of Vermont and the Adirondack Park are exhibited frequently and can be found displayed in corporate and private collections.
