New Development Director at Burlington City Arts Announced

Burlington, VT: Burlington City Arts is pleased to announce newly hired Development Director, Lucia Campriello. Lucia joined BCA in September, 2015 as the Development Director, a role where she is responsible for developing and implementing fundraising initiatives for the organization, including increasing participation in the organization’s membership program, increasing partnership opportunities for local businesses, managing grant writing efforts and cultivating individual donors and major gift givers. Prior to relocating to Burlington, Lucia served as Development Director of PF/PCA (Pittsburgh Filmmakers & Pittsburgh Center for the Arts), a contemporary visual arts organization in Pittsburgh, PA.

Lucia’s experience in the nonprofit sector includes volunteering her time as a board member at PF/PCA, membership in Association of Fundraising Professionals Northern New England Chapter serving as a coach in a Pittsburgh-based social innovation training program designed to build capacity and create visibility for nonprofits, and she is an active member of P.E.O., a philanthropic educational organization dedicated to supporting women’s education through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of a liberal arts college for women. 

Prior to transitioning to the nonprofit sector, Lucia was a consultant at Public Consulting Group, Inc. (PCG) where she provided industry-leading management consulting and technology to help public sector education, health, human services, and other government clients achieve their performance goals and better serve populations in need. 

Lucia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies and Religious Studies from Skidmore College (Saratoga Spring, NY), and a Master of Science in Public Affairs from the McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies at University of Massachusetts Boston (Boston, MA). She also completed a certificate program in Board Development from the Center for Nonprofit Excellence (Charlottesville, VA).

In her spare time Lucia enjoys being active outside with her husband and daughter, and exploring her new hometown of Burlington.
