Musician Rick Norcross Honored With Banner in City Hall Park
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Burlington, VT: Burlington City Arts is pleased to announce a newly created banner in City Hall Park, featuring an award received by longtime Burlington area musicians Rick and the Ramblers. The banner is printed with the words “Home of the “Best Western Swing Song” Winner, Rick and the Ramblers -Academy of Western Artists, 2014.”
This creation of this honorary banner was first made public at a closing reception of an exhibition of Rick Norcross’ Rock and Roll photographs in the BCA Center, following a Church Street performance by Rick and the Ramblers in September 2015. “Burlington has much to be proud of, but the rich career that Rick Norcross has led and the incredible talent that he has shared with this City for more than 50 years is unmatched. We look forward to many more years of lyrics from this Burlington institution,” said BCA Executive Director Doreen Kraft.
