Our staff of teaching artists are highly skilled and will lead you through the art-making process in one of our professional art studios. BCA also has a gallery education program called See.Think.Do! which hosts school groups of all ages for an interactive arts learning experience in our galleries. We also offer community education programs like Early Arts Head Start, working with preschool children, and Art From The Heart, bringing art supplies to children and adults at Fletcher Allen Health Care to aid in the healing process.

Whatever your interest: photography, painting, ceramics, printmaking, jewelry or design, BCA has lots of great options all year round for any skill level. Whether you want to try something new, or further develop your skills, you will find a creative home here at BCA. Class sessions begin every year in January, April, July and September, with an extensive youth summer camp each year from June – August. The Early Arts program focuses on the development of the arts and early literacy in infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers, and early primary grade children. Through the BCA education program, Head Start, and various other partnerships with community organizations, Burlington City Arts works to incorporate the arts into the curriculum by bringing professional artists to Head Start classrooms. These teaching artists approach the concept of literacy by combining lessons in visual arts, music, dance, and drama. BCA’s Early Arts Head Start Program is sponsored by the Vermont Arts CouncilChamplain Valley Head StartThe Turrell Fund, and the Dewing Foundation. MORE >>>
