Internationally known for her evocative video installations, Rachel Rose expands the possibilities of digital media by gathering and manipulating a wide variety of materials including video, text, image, and sound.

In Lake Valley, Rose creates a dreamlike narrative centered on isolation, imagination, and longing for personal connection. Employing lushly textured animated video and themes from children’s literature, the artist examines our transition from childhood to independence and how it shapes storytelling and systems of belief.
